A simple app to scan for and track Bluetooth and BLE devices based on their signal strength. It uses the motion sensor of the device for the visual feedback. So you see signal strength vs motion trail. Also allows viewing some of the device details, set favorite devices (has to guess modern devices that rotate their id) and auto reconnect function.
Its fully free and offline. No analytics integrated. Which in my opinion is the best option in any app that requires your location (to get access to the bluetooth function). I implemented it to place the bluetooth/ location-access requirement in a separate app from my main project. It surely makes review easier (Apple requires a app usage video if bluetooth is used). But otherwise I don't know if it made much of a difference.
The link between the app works through deep links which you could also use
beaconscout://Device/
With the id being the MAX but with '-' instead of ':'
AA:BB:CC:DD:EE:FF → beaconscout://Device/AA-BB-CC-DD-EE-FF
For web it should work like this:

Who hunted Beacon Scout?
Beacon Scout was hunted by David Schwenninger. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
