Maker here. This started as a folder of 40 screen recordings I had to shrink before
sending, and every online compressor wanting me to upload them one at a time.
So there's no upload step at all — the encoder is ffmpeg.wasm running in your tab, on your
CPU. Two consequences I like: there's no file size limit (nothing is being transferred),
and the privacy claim is verifiable rather than a promise — open your network panel and run
a batch, it stays silent.
Trade-off, stated plainly: WASM encoding is 2-4x slower than native ffmpeg. You're paying
in time for not uploading. For a folder you'd otherwise upload twice over, it's still faster
end to end.
Free for 3 files per batch, $19 once for unlimited. Would love to hear which format or
