Hey Product Hunt!

We’re excited to share that Basedash is now available with a self-hosted option.

For those who don’t know us, Basedash is the first AI-native BI platform. Think of it as having an analyst on your team who can query your data warehouse, build dashboards, and generate insights on demand, all in natural language.

Up until now, Basedash has been fully cloud-hosted. That works great for many teams, but we heard from larger companies and privacy-sensitive industries (finance, healthcare, enterprise SaaS, etc.) that they wanted the power of Basedash inside their own infrastructure.

With Self-Hosted Basedash you get:

- 🔒 Data stays in your environment - no sensitive info leaves your network.
- ⚡ Same AI-powered analytics experience - just deployed on your infra.
- 🛠️ Flexible setup - works with your existing stack (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.).

This is a big step toward making AI analytics accessible to every company, no matter their security requirements.

We’d love for you to check it out, ask questions, or share feedback. If you’re curious whether self-hosted or cloud is a better fit for your team, drop a comment.

Congratulations to the Basedash team! This is amazing. I can see the need to really self-host—it opens up a lot of optionality here.

You know you're starting to hit PMF when you need to self-host for customers. WOOOOO

I love Basedash, and I’m super hyped about self hosting — since it will allow us to keep all our data on prem. 🔒

As an agency, we can now recommend Basedash for BI use cases at orgs with the highest security standards.

Congrats to the whole team 🚀

congrats

so cool! i'm so tired of building the same charts over and over again for different teams. like literally every week someone's asking me to make a new dashboard and it always takes way longer than it should.

the ai thing is interesting - being able to just tell it what chart you want instead of coding everything from scratch would save me so much time. plus the self-hosted option means i don't have to deal with our security team freaking out about another third party tool.

Amazing. We are looking to offer self-hosted solutions soon so I know how difficult it is to get self-hosted working in a user friendly way. Well done! Congrats team @Basedash, you guys are cooking!

Super excited about this launch 🎉. We’ve been hearing from so many customers in industries like healthcare, finance, and enterprise SaaS who wanted all the power of Basedash, but inside their own environment.

Seeing teams go from “not sure if we can even use AI analytics because of security” → to having Basedash up and running self-hosted in under an hour has been really rewarding.

If you’ve been waiting for a secure way to bring AI analytics in-house, this is it. Can’t wait to see what you all build with it!

Awesome update! I continue to be impressed with the care and attention to detail you guys are taking with Basedash ❤️

Super exciting to see yet another critical capability coming to the best in AI BI. Nonstop innovation from this world-class team - one you can truly trust with security.

Not only will this enable more a more secure deployment and help customers meet regulatory, but we're aiming to make it an amazingly smooth setup experience and satisfyingly near-zero maintenance burden. We're leveraging Distr by @Glasskube to help customers that want a more managed/Bring Your Own Cloud experience as well. One command and you'll have Basedash up and running in minutes as well as a customer portal for us to know if you're deployment is healthy allowing for proactive customer support.

But wait… There's more!

A lot of teams are already using k8s and we'll have support for them as well via helm charts. Wherever are customers are we try to meet them there.

Exciting launch for us since data security is so important to so many customers. Lots of interesting engineering work went into supporting the product fully on-prem without compromising on functionality.

Excited about this! We're huge users of Basedash at Rubric Labs. We're also huge fans of self-hosting - the option to do so offers peace of mind that makes the original product that much more compelling.

Hey, this is a very exciting launch for us since it's going to open up Basedash for a lot more companies that really want to lock down their data. We've learned a lot about what it takes to self-host a web application through our legacy product, and we've made this self-hosting offering even better with a smoother setup experience and a simple way to manage new app versions.
