Hey PH!, I built Basalt because browsers are getting heavier and more annoying, and I wanted something that just works
Some things I'd love your take on :
- what's the first thing that felt different (or annoying) compared to your current browser?
- Did the first-launch experience make sense, or did you have to figure it out?
- Does it feel faster? Where?
-Does the privacy angle actually change how you browse, or is it just a checkbox?
-What's the first thing you'd change in the interface?
(Yep, there are a lot of questions — feel free to just answer one.)
If you install it, tell me what surprised you. I'm in the thread all day 🙌
Sorry about the SmartScreen warning ;_; it should go away automatically once it hits 100 downloads.

Basalt Browser was hunted by Moussieur. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it.
