We spent thousands of rupees just to find a single room.
I personally walked through 6+ areas near me. Some people said they didn't know of any rooms. Some said they had nothing available. The problem wasn't that rooms didn't exist — rooms were just hidden. There was no trustworthy platform for owners to list them on.
My own room owner at the time was unresponsive, unpredictable, and would say things like "you have to leave" with zero notice. It was humiliating. You're already stressed about finding a place to live, and now you're also managing someone else's behaviour just to keep a roof over your head.
That frustration is exactly why I built Basairai. (it origin from a mixture of Nepali word 'basai + sarai')
