Raymond here. Co-founder of Banter. We’ve been working on Banter as a side project, it’s a way for remote teams to get to know each other better on Slack. After fixing a ton of bugs and working with our customers adding request features, I’m finally sharing it to PH!

What’s Banter?
Banter sparks spontaneous group conversations that would randomly happen IRL. It's asynchronous, automated, and the topics are diverse to encourage every team member to talk about things they love.

What am I?
This is interesting. We have a channel in our Slack, where once a week someone will start up a random conversation, tell a joke, etc.. which helps us have a "water cooler conversation" and our team has remarked that everyone loves it. Regrettably, the person who kept it up is no longer with us, so it's been a little less frequent. I see this app having utility, though I wonder, if people will be less likely to interact with it because it's not curated by a member of the team.
