I built Bandwidth because I kept "focusing" for an hour and having nothing to show for it. A timer told me I'd spent the time — it never asked whether I actually did the thing.
So Bandwidth flips it around. You commit to ONE thing, set a real deadline, and shield the apps that pull you away. When the time's up, you don't just tap "done" — you submit proof, and a coach checks it before the win counts. Completions you actually earned are worth far more than a self-claimed checkmark.
A few things I'm proud of:
• A "conscious exit" — bailing early makes you type your session's release word from memory. If you've forgotten it, a "trap moment" gently names the distraction that's pulling you, then still lets you leave. No shame, no streak punishment.
• Streak insurance — one off day never erases weeks of momentum.
• Private by default — it runs fully on-device, no account required. The app-blocker uses
Apple's Screen Time and only ever sees counts, never your app names.
It's a solo project — made by one person — and I read every message. I'd genuinely love your feedback: does "proof of completion" make focus feel more real, or just add friction? Tell me where it should go next.
