A few years ago, I was working on an Intel MacBook, and I grew frustrated with how heavy and sluggish standard spreadsheet software felt. I found myself sitting through splash screens and resource-heavy loading cycles just to check a single value or peek at a file. I realized I didn’t need a full office suite to view data—I just needed a tool that was fast, native, and ready to go.
So, I built Bale Sheet — a lightweight, native spreadsheet viewer for macOS. No ribbon UI, no loading screens, no cloud sign-in. Just drag, drop, and view.
