I built Balance because every expense tracker I tried made me do the work: log everything, then dig through charts to answer a simple question like "where did my money go this month?"
So Balance flips it. It tracks for you (bank SMS and payment notifications on Android, AI bill scanning), and then you just ask:
• "How much did I spend on cabs last week?"
• "Am I within my budget?"
• "Which subscriptions am I paying for?"
• "Compare my spending with last month"
You can type or talk. Start by voice and it stays hands-free: ask, hear the answer, ask a follow-up, and it remembers the context.
A few things I cared about:
🔒 No bank login, ever. SMS is read on your phone and only the amount, merchant and time are saved.
🧠 The AI only works out what you're asking. Your answers are calculated from your own data, and your transactions are never sent to an AI model.
🔥 Roast mode, because a witty nudge works better than a red chart.
