BacktestAlpha turns plain-English futures strategy ideas into locked-rule historical backtest reports for ES, NQ, and GC. It focuses on auditability: explicit rules, assumptions, costs, risk notes, metrics, equity curve, and trade-level detail. Research-only, not signals or investment advice.
Hi Product Hunt — I built BacktestAlpha to make futures backtests easier to inspect and criticize.
Most backtest tools jump quickly to an equity curve. I wanted the workflow to slow down before that: write an idea in plain English, review the interpreted rules, lock the test version, then generate a report that shows assumptions, costs, risk notes, metrics, and trade-level detail.
The current scope is intentionally narrow: ES, NQ, and GC futures. It is research-only, not a signal service, not live trading, and not investment advice.
I would really value feedback on whether the report structure makes weak strategy ideas easier to reject, and what assumptions a serious futures backtest should always disclose.
