I built Backs because I never felt new tabs were customisable enough.
Some people want their tasks right in front of them. Some want shortcuts in the top left, others in the bottom right. Some don’t want either. They just want a nice background and a clock. I wanted to be able to choose what was there and where it went, so the solution was to simply make everything modular!
In Backs, you build your new tab from widgets called Backons. Add the ones you want, move them where you like, and leave out anything you don’t need. There are tasks, notes, bookmarks and focus tools, alongside little animated plants, lanterns and other things to play with. Their colours adapt to your background, so everything fits together.
You can also keep different setups in separate Spaces and share your layouts with a link.
