Baby Screen Lock is a simple Android app for parents of babies and toddlers. It locks the touchscreen while videos continue playing, helping prevent accidental taps, pauses, skips and app switching. It can also be useful during workouts to prevent accidental song changes while music is playing. Designed for standard Android smartphones only; not intended for foldable phones or tablets.
I built Baby Screen Lock to solve a very simple everyday problem: toddlers touching the screen while watching videos and accidentally pausing, skipping or leaving the app.
The goal was to keep it extremely simple. Open Baby Screen Lock, start the video or music you want, press START, and the screen is locked. To unlock it, hold the X button for 2 seconds.
While building and testing it, I also found that it can be useful during workouts, when you want to keep music playing without accidental touches or song changes.
I’d really appreciate feedback from parents and Android users on what could be improved.
