Baby Desk turns your Mac into a full-screen baby playground that absorbs keys and clicks, including ⌘Q and ⌘Tab, while your work stays untouched. Stars, letters, and balloons keep little hands busy. Launch offer: $1.99 (regularly $4.99). macOS 13+.
Hi Product Hunt! 👋
I built Baby Desk after handing my laptop to my baby one too many times —
one happy keyboard mash and my terminal had quit, my slides were gone, and a
call had somehow ended. 😅
Baby Desk turns the whole Mac into a playground that *swallows* every keypress
and click — even system shortcuts like ⌘Q, ⌘Tab and screenshots. On screen the
baby gets stars, letters, a rainbow drawing trail and poppable balloons with
gentle sounds; underneath, your code, docs and meeting stay exactly where they
were. Only a parent can exit (a hidden combo + Touch ID / PIN), and there's a
play timer, dim mode and volume cap.
For launch, it's $1.99 instead of $4.99 — a one-time purchase, not a
subscription. It's signed and notarized by Apple, and the interface follows
your system language — English, 한국어 or 日本語.
I'd love your feedback — especially from other parents who work on a Mac.
What would make this a must-have for you?
How many times has this happened - you just look away for a second, and the kids' fingers type some nonsense and manage to send it to someone))) hahaha
I'll keep in mind that there's now a way to prevent this
Haha every parent working from home needs this. Requiring Touch ID or a PIN to exit is smart, babies are weirdly good at finding key combos
