Most AI astrology products ask a language model to work out your chart. That is precisely where language models fail: positions, dates and planetary periods come back fluent and wrong.
Ayana is built on a strict division of labour:
Computation. Every position, divisional chart, daśā period and Saturn transit is computed with the Swiss Ephemeris — the reference used by professional astrology software — and verified against published sources. Sade Sati dates are resolved to the day, including Saturn’s retrograde re-entries.
Interpretation. The AI receives only those computed facts. It explains them, cites the placement behind every claim, and never alters a number. “See the astrology behind this” shows exactly what it was given.
What I held to:
• Precision you can check - the method is named, and where traditions genuinely disagree (planetary strength, for one), Ayana says so rather than issuing a verdict.
• Privacy by design - no accounts; your birth details stay on your device.
• Open source --the full engine and app are public.
