Hi Product Hunt 👋 Three months ago, we launched Aximote here for the first time. Since then, more than 10,000 drivers have joined Aximote, we’ve tracked over 1 million trips worldwide, and — most importantly — we’ve received a lot of feedback about what drivers actually want to understand about their cars. Today, we’re launching the biggest Aximote update yet. 🚗 What is Aximote? Modern cars generate thousands of data points, but most drivers still see only a tiny fraction of them. Aximote turns the data your car already generates into clear insights about trips, energy consumption, charging, costs and driving behavior — without additional hardware. You get real-time insights directly in the car and can dive deeper into your data afterwards in the mobile app. 🧩 What problem are we solving? For many drivers, the car is still a black box. You might know your battery percentage or average consumption, but not what a specific trip actually cost, where energy was lost, how your driving affected efficiency, or how one journey compares with another. We want to make this data understandable and useful instead of hiding it behind manufacturer-specific apps and systems. ✨ What’s new? We redesigned Aximote from the ground up based on feedback from our community. You can now customize your dashboard with more than 20 vehicle metrics, understand your driving through our new Efficiency Score, track vehicle and charging costs in much more detail, explore improved analytics and comparisons, and use a completely refreshed interface with light and dark mode and detailed 3D models of your cars. 🔐 Who should own your vehicle data? One question from our first Product Hunt launch stuck with us: what happens to your driving history when you change cars? We believe your data should belong to you, not to a specific vehicle or manufacturer. Aximote is built around your account, allowing you to keep your history across vehicles, manage multiple cars and export your data instead of starting from zero every time you switch brands. 🔮 Where are we heading? We want Aximote to become the analytics and community layer for cars. Today, we help you understand your own vehicle and driving. Over time, we want drivers to be able to compare real-world efficiency, costs, routes and vehicle performance across cars and eventually build something that feels like Strava for driving. 🙌 What would you like to see next?
