I built this after a friend showed me a $400 OpenAI bill from a single overnight agent loop. The agent hit a bug, got stuck, and kept calling GPT-4 until the monthly limit kicked in — by which point the damage was done.
The frustrating thing is OpenAI's built-in limits are account-wide, not per agent. If you're running 10 agents, there's no way to say "this one gets $5/day."
AWX Shredder solves exactly that. It's been running in production and I'm opening it up. Would love feedback from anyone building agents — especially on what alerts or controls you wish you had. Happy to answer anything.
