There's a gap between "I should talk to someone" and actually doing it. For most people it lasts months. Avelune is an anonymous mental health community built for that gap. First, pick a username. Your real name never comes up. Then, post by topic, DM people who get it, track your mood daily, or write in a private journal only you can see. No ads. No algorithm pushing engagement over your wellbeing. Free forever. Built by someone who's been in that gap.
Hey PH 👋 I'm Henry, the solo founder behind Avelune.
I built this after going through a stretch where I knew I needed help but couldn't bring myself to reach out to anyone I knew. The thing that actually broke the ice for me was finding strangers online who put words to exactly what I was feeling.
That experience felt too accidental — I stumbled into the right forum at the right time. Avelune is my attempt to make that less accidental for other people.
It's anonymous (username only, no real name ever), free, and has no ads. Features: topic-based feed, DMs, daily mood check-ins, private journal, and links to professional resources when you're ready for that step.
If you try it, I'd love brutal feedback. Tell me what's missing, what feels off, what would make you actually come back. DMs open here or on the site.

Who hunted Avelune?
Avelune was hunted by Henry. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
