Augify
Turn any print or mural into AR, no QR codes needed
Augify turns printed images (posters, murals, greeting cards, artwork) into augmented reality experiences we call "Augies." Point your phone at the image and the uploaded video comes to life on top of it. No QR codes, no special hardware. Create personal Augies for free, or publish public Augies for brands, galleries and events. Already live on the Leonard Cohen mural in Montreal and Martello Alley in Kingston. Available on iOS and Android.
Hey Product Hunt! I'm Yaser, founder of Augify.
Print is everywhere (posters, murals, greeting cards, gallery walls) but it's static, and QR codes feel clunky. I wanted a way for any printed image to come alive the moment you point your phone at it.
With Augify you link a video to an image and turn it into an "Augie." Anyone with the app scans the image itself, with no codes or markers, and the content plays right on top of it.
We started with the Leonard Cohen mural in Montreal, then worked with Martello Alley in Kingston. Now we're bringing it to greeting cards and print.
Personal and shared Augies are free. Public Augies for brands and venues are a small monthly fee.
I'd love your feedback: what would you bring to life first?

Who hunted Augify?
Augify was hunted by Yaser S. Kabakibo. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
