A secure, self-hosted CLI (npm/pip) and MCP server for Reddit and YouTube research. Built strictly on official APIs with a Bring-Your-Own-Key (BYOK) architecture, it eliminates shared pools, cookie imports, and session-token reuse. Every query generates a hash-chained, tamper-evident audit log detailing platform, endpoint, scope, and consent basis. It is Apache 2.0 licensed and designed as a compliant alternative to scraping tools for enterprise environments.

We built AuditReach to solve a critical roadblock for teams operating under strict data governance: the inability to safely use powerful AI research tools due to compliance and security constraints.

When looking at existing market research solutions, we realized they often rely on cookie-scraping, session-token reuse, and shared key pools. For enterprise teams, these methods are structurally impossible to adopt.

To answer the core launch questions presented in image_2f8a6b.png, what inspired us and how our approach evolved, we initially just set out to build a secure research tool for Reddit and YouTube. But as we dug deeper into the compliance needs of our users, we realized that simply using official APIs wasn't enough. We needed to provide absolute, verifiable proof of every data extraction action taken.

That evolution led us to engineer AuditReach as a fully compliant, self-hosted CLI (npm/pip) and MCP server with the following guarantees:

- Strict BYOK (Bring Your Own Key): There are no shared pools, cookie imports, or session reuses. We only query using official, documented APIs.
- Cryptographic Auditability: Every single query writes a hash-chained, tamper-evident audit log entry that definitively records the platform, endpoint, scope, and specific consent basis.

Open & Self-Hosted: Fully transparent and available under the Apache 2.0 license.

We designed this to bridge the gap between agentic AI capabilities and enterprise compliance. We would love to hear your feedback, answer your technical questions, and see how you integrate it into your own workflows!

Who hunted auditreach?

auditreach was hunted by Sourav Nandy. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
