I’m Martín, a sound designer and post-production editor.
I built AudioScout because I was wasting way too much time doing something absurdly simple: finding sound effects I already owned.
I didn’t want another subscription, another cloud library, or another giant ecosystem. I wanted a small utility that stayed out of the way and let me work faster.
So AudioScout is built around one simple flow:
search → audition → queue → project
You point it at your local or external SFX libraries, move through results with the keyboard, audition sounds instantly, collect what you need, and export them to your project. Pro Tools users can also send selected sounds directly into their workflow.
I’ve been using it in real post-production work, and the time saving was big enough that I decided to release it.
It works on Mac and Windows, requires no account, and costs $10 once.
I’d especially love feedback from sound designers, editors, podcast producers, game-audio people, and anyone sitting on a ridiculous amount of SFX files.
