Hi Product Hunt, I'm the maker of this tool, part of File Toolbox (free browser tools in six languages).
I wanted a quick way to get a tune out of my head and onto a staff without installing anything or uploading my recordings. So: press Record, sing, hum or play for up to 30 seconds, and the pitch and rhythm are analysed in your browser. You get an editable staff you can fix note by note, then export PNG, PDF, MIDI or WAV.
It also takes WAV/MP3/M4A files (first 30 seconds) for chord drafts, a drum/rhythm draft and BPM detection, and roughly splits stereo files into low/mid/high and vocal-centre layers.
Honest limits: it uses simple pitch, spectrum and volume rules, not AI transcription, so a single clear voice or instrument works best and busy mixes, harmony and drums are often wrong. A microphone take is mono, so it cannot be split into vocals. Audio never leaves your device.
It's free and supported by a few unobtrusive ads. I'd love to hear what kind of recordings you try and where the notes go wrong.
