Atlas is an open-source macOS maintenance workbench. Scan first, review item by item, ledger every action with a restore point, and restore anything within the retention window — nothing is deleted silently. It recognizes dev toolchains (Homebrew/Xcode/Node) and excludes them by default. NEW: a free web Space Reclaim Estimator tells you how much space you can get back before installing anything.
I built Atlas because every Mac cleaner I tried deleted things silently — I could never tell what was actually touched, or get any of it back afterwards.
Atlas works the opposite way: scan → review the plan item by item → confirm. Every action creates a restore point and a numbered ledger entry you can undo during the retention window. It recognizes dev toolchains (Homebrew/Xcode/Node) and excludes them by default.
For launch week we also shipped a free web Space Reclaim Estimator — answer 4 questions and get an estimate of reclaimable space before installing anything (methodology and sample limits are stated on-page). On our own M-series test machine: 35.3 GB reclaimable, ~85% of it from Xcode and simulator caches.
Everything is MIT-licensed. Happy to answer questions about the architecture or what's actually safe to delete on a dev machine.
