Hello Product Hunt community! I’m super excited to unveil Async to the world today and announce the general availability of our public beta (available on iOS, Mac and the Browser). We’re a team of 7 (all of us added as Makers 🙏🏼), HQ’d in NYC with some 🇫🇷 flavors too! But first, let me tell you my story and how Async got started: Three years ago when Covid hit, I felt like the number of external meetings, catch-ups and one-on-ones was going through the roof. After a couple of weeks, my first reaction was, do ALL of those have to happen live? So, I organically started replacing some of those meetings with voice notes on WhatsApp. It wasn't perfect, but it helped me save hundreds of hours since then. I found that voice messages were super productive as a communication format (hence the 7 billion voice messages shared every day on WhatsApp alone), and it felt a lot more convenient to share voice notes at 7 am than write a long email or turn on my camera for a zoom call 🤪. I see you coming at me thinking, “Everyone loves to send voice notes, but no one likes receiving long ones”, and you’re (mostly) right. That's why we've decided to fix everything wrong about voice notes and bring them to our work stack. After months of user feedback, improvements, and interview with various personas to identify our most interesting use cases, we feel like we’re ready to start helping each of you replace some of your quick internal/external meetings with our async voice messages ⚔️ What’s so special about them? 🔗 Meet your Personal URL: You'll share this link whenever someone asks to book some time, but connecting asynchronously would be just as (more?) productive. 📄 Read your audio recordings: Accurate transcripts make your voice notes skimmable and searchable (and AI summaries!). ⚡️ Reply any time: Easily respond to specific moments with time-stamped reactions. 🥹 Share on any platform: Send private voice notes in your existing workflows (email, notion, figma, linear, etc) — with only a link. 📅  Free up your Google calendar: Get personalized recommendations on which meetings to replace with voice notes. Our early beta testers started using Async to replace the “pick your brain” kind of calls, one-on-ones, feedback sessions, deal updates between investors, reference check calls, etc. You can now go ahead and sign up now for free at [async.com](https://async.com) 🧨 We’ll be here all day, so please don’t hesitate to ask us your burning questions or your early experience using Async!

Great app! Love we are moving more towards asynchronous communication to increase focus time and decrease pointless meetings.

Just trying this with some folks - love the concept but the UI feels very confusing especially after you’ve sent/received the note The inbox doesn’t show what needs to be seen/what hs been replied/reacted to. Replies and reactions feel hard to access and feel inactionable. Nesting replies too many times feels like its too many clicks to get to Would love to chat more if its useful, https://async.com/abhiroop.727 ;)

Congrats, looking good! Interesting pricing. Never thought about it in that way. 🙂

Congratulations on the launch of your new async voice messaging platform! I'm so excited to see this product come to life. I know that it's something that many people have been waiting for, and I'm confident that it will be a huge success. I'm particularly excited about the potential of this platform to help people save time and be more productive. Gone are the days of non-stop meetings. With async voice messaging, you can communicate with your team members without having to interrupt their work. You can also send and receive messages on any platform, so you're always connected. I'm also impressed with the features of this platform. The transcripts are a great way to quickly catch up on messages, and the ability to reply at any time is a huge time-saver. Overall, I think this is a fantastic product. It's well-designed, easy to use, and has the potential to revolutionize the way we communicate. Congratulations to you all did a wonderful job. #Congratulations #impressed #fantastic #easytouse #great #quickly #platform #excited #people #productive #communicate #confident #jaygallegos #jerrymgallegos #createitsearchitteam #I #love #voice #async #createitsearchit

Love the idea. It's way easier to send voice messages than a recording in most cases. The transcript function is great for receivers to grasp the whole idea of the message.

The function of this app is so useful. Reply for me. Using voice instead of calling is too friendly to my society. I decided to download it and try it. I hope it works!

Super excited to see this launch. I’ve used the product for a few weeks and love it.

There are a lot of async tools but this one is actually well thought out and exciting. Going to give it a spin!

I agree with you that asynchronous communication is the future, and I don't like Zoom either! I have some questions: There are too many asynchronous communication tools on the market, such as loom, or other audio asynchronous communication tools, how do you achieve differentiated competition? What do you think are the advantages and disadvantages of video and audio respectively?

Super produit ! Vue que je travaille sur 3 continents différents, ça peut m'aider à mieux communiquer avec mon équipe, bravo !

can we share links in our emails to avoid typing. do the receiver need an account to listen to it?
