A personal, secure meeting assistant that lives in your MacBook's notch. Listens to your meeting · suggests what to say · invisible on screen share · can run 100% on your Mac
Hi, I'm Hariharasudhan, and I built Assist.
Assist is a small Mac app that sits in the notch at the top of your MacBook screen. During a meeting it listens along, writes a live transcript, and when someone asks you a question, it quietly suggests what you could say back. Nobody else on the call can see it.
I built it to be a meeting assistant you can actually trust: it can run entirely on your own Mac, it stays out of screen shares, and it forgets everything the moment you quit.
The on-device option is compelling, especially for meetings where privacy matters. I noticed the FAQ says the transcript clears when you quit. Is there a way to export it or save a recap before then?

Who hunted Assist?
Assist was hunted by Hariharasudhan Giridharan. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
