Hey everyone 👋
we are tem veda. we built AskMyCity after the same realisation a lot of people in Indian cities have: reporting a civic problem is easy, but knowing where to report it is not.
A pothole might belong to the municipal corporation, or the roads department, or a different agency entirely depending on which stretch of road it's on. So most people either post it on social media, or don't bother.
AskMyCity is an AI layer that sits between the citizen and those fragmented systems. You take one photo. It classifies the issue, captures the location, works out which city and department owns it, drafts a submission-ready complaint, and - the part I care most about - checks whether someone nearby already reported the same thing. If they did, you join their issue instead of creating complaint #38. Ten fragmented reports become one signal with ten people behind it.
Every issue gets a priority score, and you can see it broken down into black box.
A few things I want to be upfront about, because civic tech has a bad habit of overpromising:
- We are not affiliated with any government and we never submit on your behalf. You press submit.
- We don't promise anything gets fixed. Civic SLA Watch tells you what the authority's own published timeline says should happen next - that's interpretation, not a guarantee.

We built AskMyCity because we got tired of seeing the same civic problems every day — potholes, garbage, broken roads, overflowing drains — without knowing the right way to get them addressed.
