Ask-China helps first-time visitors solve two practical problems in China. Rail Station Finder starts from real places—not just city names—then compares nearby verified stations in English and Chinese before handing the chosen pair to official Railway 12306. Dining lets travelers scan a Chinese menu, understand visible dishes against saved food rules, and prepare a bilingual card for restaurant staff to confirm. It does not sell train tickets or replace restaurant confirmation.

Hi Product Hunt — I built Ask-China after seeing first-time visitors get stuck at two very practical moments in China: choosing the right railway station and understanding what they can order from a Chinese menu.

RAIL STATION FINDER

A city is not a station. Travelers often know their hotel, airport or attraction, but not which railway station name to search.

Enter a real starting place and destination. Ask-China compares nearby verified station candidates in English and Chinese, lets you choose a station at each end, and hands the exact pair to official Railway 12306.

Ask-China does not show live trains, fares, seats or ticket availability. Official 12306 remains the source for the real journey and booking.

DINING

Take or upload a clear Chinese menu photo. Dining organizes the visible dishes, checks them against saved food rules, and keeps missing information visibly uncertain.

For questions that still need a human answer, Dining prepares a bilingual confirmation card that can be shown directly to restaurant staff.

Dining does not guarantee ingredients or allergy safety, and it does not replace restaurant confirmation.

Both tools are live today. I would especially value feedback on whether each flow makes the next real-world step clear enough for a first-time visitor.

Who hunted Ask-China?

Ask-China was hunted by 蒲劼. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
