Game Art Editor Website
A layer-based photo editor that never uploads your images
Game Art Editor is a full, layer-based photo editor that runs entirely in your browser — no upload, no install, no account. Powered by WebAssembly, it opens PSDs, edits on a real canvas with layers, blend modes, and history, then exports to WebP, AVIF, or PNG — all on your own machine. Your images never touch a server. 100% private — nothing ever uploads Real layers, blend modes & non-destructive history Opens PSDs, exports WebP/AVIF/PNG Batch-optimize 30+ images at once
Hey Product Hunt 👋
I built this because every "free online photo editor" I tried did the same creepy thing: upload my image to their server first. For game art, client work, or anything sensitive, that's a dealbreaker.
So I made the opposite — a full layer-based editor that runs 100% in your browser via WebAssembly. Open a PSD, work with real layers and blend modes, export to WebP/AVIF — and your files never leave your device. No upload, no account, no install. It even works offline.
It started as a tool for my own game-dev workflow (batch-converting sprites, optimizing WebP for Unity), but grew into a general editor I now use for everything.
It's free, and the editor stays free. I'd love your honest feedback — what's the one tool you'd need before this could replace your current editor?
