Arrow Tempo turns your iPhone into an automatic archery scorer. Point your camera at the target and every arrow is detected and scored on-device — no manual tapping, nothing uploaded. It's more than a scorer: count arrows on Apple Watch, train your shot tempo, see heatmaps of where your arrows land, compare any two periods, and track your progress over time. Manual plotting is free, no paywall. No other app auto-scores from your camera.

Hi Product Hunt 👋 — I'm a solo developer, and Arrow Tempo is the app I'd wanted to build for about five years but never had the skills or the time for.
That changed in May 2026, when I got laid off. Suddenly I had the free time, so I decided to finally build the thing I'd been thinking about for years.

The idea came from my own frustration as an archer: I was constantly stopping to tap in scores by hand, and I had no real way to tell whether my groups were actually getting tighter over time. So I built Arrow Tempo. Point your iPhone at the target and it detects and scores every arrow automatically - entirely on-device, nothing uploaded anywhere. The camera-scoring model is trained on a mix of my own captured images and a publicly available dataset. As far as I can tell, no other archery app does camera scoring.
It also runs on Apple Watch, which is where a lot of the magic is: your wrist counts every arrow automatically, trains your shot tempo and rhythm with haptic cues, and even tracks your heart rate while you shoot - so you can see how your timing and nerves affect your results.

The full picture:

Camera scoring — auto-score your arrows from your phone, on-device.
Apple Watch — automatic arrow counting, a tempo/rhythm trainer with haptics, hold-time feedback, and heart-rate tracking while you shoot.
Heatmaps — see exactly where your arrows land, and compare any two time periods.
Session history — track your scores and consistency over time.
Share cards — clean session summaries for your stories.

Manual plotting is completely free, no paywall - I wanted the basics to be genuinely usable. Camera scoring and the advanced analytics are Pro. This is a product I built during an unplanned career break, so I'd genuinely love your feedback - especially from any archers here. What would make this a tool you'd open at every practice?

Comment highlights

The on-device camera scoring is genuinely impressive, caught every arrow in my quick test. Nice touch having manual plotting stay free too.

watching it pick up arrows from a quick clip felt honestly magical, and being able to glance at my wrist between ends to see count is a small thing that makes range sessions way less fussy.

Took this out to my range and was surprised the camera picked up arrows in mixed lighting without me tapping anything. The shot tempo cue on the Watch is a really nice bonus I didn't expect.
