I'm the maker behind Arcaneum Focus, a reading and research companion for your browser.
As an English Literature student, I spend a lot of time reading articles, working with PDFs, highlighting passages, and keeping track of ideas. I wanted a more connected way to do that without constantly switching between different tools.
So I built Arcaneum Focus: a calm reader mode with highlights, floating notes, and "strings" you draw between them, plus one-click citations. All of it works on web articles and PDFs alike, so you don't need a separate tool for each.
It's free, needs no account, and everything stays in your browser. Arcaneum Focus is part of The Arcaneum, an independent publication focused on long-form academic writing. I'm building this as an early-stage, independent project, and I'd love to hear what could make it more useful.
