AR Gifter — Magic AR Greetings
Hide private video gifts inside any physical object
AR Gifter — Create magical augmented reality greetings. Scan any physical object, attach a personal video message, and surprise your friends instantly.
Hello Product Hunt community! 🪄
I’m Andrii, a solo developer, and today I’m incredibly excited to share AR Gifter with you!
The idea for this project came from a simple realization: ordinary text greetings and dry instant messages have completely lost their personal touch. I wanted to create a way to blend deep personal emotions with everyday physical objects using augmented reality.
Whether it’s a birthday card, a book cover, a custom drawing, or a simple cash envelope — AR Gifter turns it into a hidden, secure portal of memories.
But as a developer, I knew the biggest friction in mobile AR: nobody wants to install a heavy app just to view a quick 10-second greeting.
That’s why the killer feature of AR Gifter is ZERO INSTALL for the recipient. 🎭
The recipient simply taps your unique smart link, and it opens instantly inside any standard mobile web browser (iOS & Android). Their camera activates, and the volumetric 3D projection unfolds right over the object in real time!
Key Highlights:
• Pure Privacy 🔒: Your media assets are securely decentralized. No public feeds or algorithmic timelines.
• Complete Flexibility 💸: Use absolutely any real-world object as a marker.
• One-Tap Link Revival 🔄: If free tier temporary hosting links expire, authors can easily revive them from local app history in one tap.
I’d love to hear your feedback, thoughts on the WebAR UX, or any creative use cases you can think of! Thank you so much for your support! 🚀
