Aqua is super fast AI dictation that lets you talk into any text field -- Cursor, Gmail, Slack, even your terminal. It starts up in under 50ms, inserts text as fast as 450ms, and has state-of-the-art accuracy. Write 4x faster anywhere with Aqua. 🌊
I'm dyslexic and have been using dictation software since 6th grade. For over a decade, I've been chasing a dream that never quite worked - using your voice instead of your keyboard.
It's always been awkward, clunky, and just not actually better than typing. Siri is a complete joke, and a lot of well-meaning alternatives (I've tried them all) don't actually transform where you can use your voice.
Aqua lives on your desktop, and it lets you talk into any text field -- Cursor, Gmail, Slack, even your terminal. It does a lot more, but that’s the core. We’d love your feedback!
Can you do a demo on YouTube showing how to use Aqua Voice with Google Sheets? That would be really useful.
Congrats on the launch! A couple of things that you will need to do for me to switch from Wispr Flow.
Command Mode
Auto-detect Language.
iOS app.
Good luck!
I’ve tried pretty much every whisper-based tool out there — Superwhisper, MacWhisper, Whispr, you name it. This one stands out by far. The performance, simplicity, and output quality are unmatched.
Just to be clear — no affiliation with the team. Just genuinely impressed!
@finn_brown Aqua’s speed across apps is impressive! For someone jumping between a code editor and a casual chat in Slack, how does the tool handle context shifts—like technical jargon vs. colloquial phrases—without tripping over formatting or needing manual adjustments?
Just signed up and works great. Only issue is with it picking up my voice not music or a youtube video or something in the background. Any plans to have it identify who is speaking?
Just signed up and I'm using it to write this comment!
The onboarding process was super smooth and fast. Congrats on the launch!
Cool product Aqua Voice team, congrats! Does it work on IPad or Android Tablet?
Congrats on the launch! Super happy to see this on the homepage today!
I've been using Aqua for the past week. About two days in, I fully converted over, and I am now completely sold on it. I even ended up holding an impromptu demo on a team call this morning, and I'm pretty sure I've convinced several Product Hunt team members to try it out.
The streaming feature is what fully sold me on it. Being able to edit and change the text as I dictate has made it so much more useful than any other dictation apps I've tried. It also just works super fast, and I don't think I've run into any typos.
This is one of those rare tools that just immediately fit into my workflow and that I know I will be using on a daily basis from here on out.
Huge congrats to the team! I look forward to hopefully converting many more people over to using it, haha
Aqua Voice entiende español y cientos de otros idiomas! (Written with Aqua)
the idea is cool, ui cool too, but it lacked a true multilangual approach. The second thing is cause it makes on-the-go transcription, it misses more often than the simpler whisperAI extension. but i'll try once again in month or two, i bet your approach can work better
I'm a big fan of Aqua! I've been using it for maybe a week now, and it is definitely faster than all the alternatives I've tried. I was very skeptical initially because I've used many others, and I thought they were all pretty good. But after going through it and trying it, it actually is so much better than all the alternatives that I cannot live without it now! I was having troubles with it at some point, and I was actually so sad because I had to go back to some of the alternatives, and it was a noticeable difference! (yes sent with Aqua)
Congrats on your launch!
Would love to add you to my listing of AI Transcription tools - Do you have a referral/affiliate program?
I've been really enjoying using this! I think the thing I love the most is the double tap of the function key to unlock the longer dictation mode.
As I've been using dictation apps more and more, it's become the main way I input information to the computer, and it's great and very intuitive for short snippets, but for longer snippets, it's quite difficult for me to write when I can't see what I'm writing. I really like the mode that Aqua has here, and it's also really cool to see how the previous version of the app, which was more of a document editor, has inspired this more seamless input.
It seems like Aqua still has one of the most useful traits of the previous version of the app, which is that it understands your intent quite well, whether you intend to dictate or you intend to edit.
