I kept hearing the same sentence from small business owners: "I miss calls and I know it, but I can't afford a receptionist and I don't have time to hire one."

So I built Apym: an AI phone assistant that answers your line 24/7, qualifies the caller (need, urgency, contact details), and sends you a clean recap by email and Slack, with HubSpot sync (beta). The biggest shift while building it: I thought "never miss a call" was the pitch. It wasn't. What owners really wanted was to know WHO called and WHY, so they could call back the right people first. So I made the structured recap the heart of the product, not just the answering.
