LinkedIn's job search keeps showing you postings you've already seen, applied to, or don't want. ApplyW adds the filters it's missing: hide any listing, block a company outright, hide anything already marked Applied or Viewed, and filter by keywords or by the language the description is actually written in. A metrics page shows which of your filters is doing the most work. Everything runs locally in your browser - no account, no server, nothing sent anywhere. Free and open source.

I'm a developer job-hunting in Germany, and if you've done that in English you know the specific frustration: you set the search to English, and LinkedIn returns page after page of "(Senior) Java Softwareentwickler (m/w/d)". There's a filter for the language of the interface. There isn't one for the language the posting is actually written in. That's what finally made me build something. Once I started, the rest of the noise got obvious too: postings I'd already seen resurfacing every session, jobs I'd already applied to still sitting in the list, companies I'd long since ruled out coming back again and again. LinkedIn gives you Date Posted and Experience Level. It gives you nothing for "I have seen this, stop." So ApplyW adds that layer, directly on the search results page: - Hide a job - it stays hidden across reloads - Block a company - every listing from them disappears, now and later - Hide anything already marked Applied or Viewed - Filter by keywords in the title or description - Filter by the language the description is genuinely written in, detected locally from the real text rather than guessed from the title Two deliberate constraints: no account, no server. Everything happens in your browser, and there's no backend to send anything to. It's MIT licensed if you want to confirm that rather than take my word for it: github.com/ApplyW/extension It's early and free. LinkedIn is currently rolling out a new design for its results page - on that one, only Hide and the Applied/Viewed toggles work so far, the rest is in progress. If you job hunt in a country whose language you don't fully read, I'd like to know what else gets in your way. That's the list I'm building from.

Who hunted ApplyW?

ApplyW was hunted by Viacheslav. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it.
