Hi Product Hunt! I'm the maker of Applause Jobs, a product manager in Brazil.
I built Applause for myself, to get through my own job search. It worked: three months after I started building it, I got the job. So I rebuilt the whole thing to help other people do the same.
What kept going wrong in my search:
- I'd spend 40 minutes tailoring a résumé for a job I was never a fit for.
- AI résumé tools "improved" my experience into things I hadn't done, which falls apart in the first interview.
- Every company uses a different application system, so I kept retyping the same answers.
So Applause works the other way around:
1. Fit first. Open a job post and see how you match, requirement by requirement, with the real gaps separated from things you have in other words.
2. Honest tailoring. Your résumé, cover letter and screening answers are written only from your profile, and a second pass checks every claim against it. An ATS score shows what a keyword filter will see and what to fix.
3. Less busywork. One board for every application, alerts when companies you follow post new roles, and a Chrome extension that fills in forms with answers it has learned.
