Imagine any idea in the space around you with AR. Create a 3D model out of anything from a physical object to an entire floor plan, and animate the movement of objects in your space by writing words — not formulas. This is AR storytelling designed for anyone.
Hi Product Hunt 👋,
I’m thrilled to announce Animant - an app that enables anyone to create engaging AR content.
The idea was to create a new way for people to think, plan, and demonstrate concepts spatially by blending the real world with virtual scenes - even without any prior knowledge about 3D design. This is possible through Animant’s AI, 3D Scan, and Storyline.
Animant’s AI lets you write natural language to create basic 3D models and animations, such as “Create a transparent lime-green tube two metres long and half a metre wide”, and “Move it to the left when tapped”.
3D Scan makes it easy to create more complex 3D models from physical objects in your space. Object Capture makes use of iOS 17’s new photogrammetry features to help you capture and build a detailed 3D model directly on your device, and Room Capture builds a rich 3D map of your surrounding space. Animant takes these features further by automatically identifying and tagging various pieces of furniture in object scans, such as swivel chairs and L-shaped sofas, so that these detailed 3D models are added and scaled accurately in Room Captures - making it easier than ever to build a 3D representation of a physical space.
Everything comes together with Storyline - Animant’s animation composer. Animations are designed to be interactive with touch and proximity triggers built in, and creating them is as easy as selecting the words that describe them or walking along the path you want an object to follow.
Animant will continue to evolve over time. Thanks for reading this far, and let me know your thoughts below!
