Back in college, trading wasn't something I read about — it was something I did, literally between lectures. Me and a few friends would squeeze in Indian F&O trades in the morning before class, and by evening we'd switch to forex. Free period? Trading. Lunch break? Charts open. That was our routine.
The problem was, none of us actually knew what we were doing. We were following tips off Telegram channels and YouTube videos, hoping someone on the other side actually knew the market better than we did. Sometimes it worked. A lot of times it didn't. And there was no way to tell the difference between a good call and a lucky guess until after the money was already gone.
That stuck with me. Fast forward to now, with AI becoming what it is — I kept thinking: what if that "tip" wasn't a stranger's guess on Telegram, but something an AI actually analyzed, and then a real human trader double-checked before it ever reached your screen? Not AI replacing judgment, and not a random influencer replacing analysis — both, checking each other.
And then there was the bigger gap. Every finance app in India is built around stocks and mutual funds. Almost nobody was building for forex and crypto — even though India has one of the youngest populations in the world, and that generation is already trading forex and crypto on their own, drawn to the idea of earning in USD instead of rupees. There was demand, there was appetite, and there was basically no serious, trustworthy platform built for it in India.
That's the gap Alvestt is built to fill — the platform I wish existed when I was that college kid trading between classes, guessing off a Telegram tip and hoping for the best.
Building a serious platform for forex/crypto trading education in India is a real gap - love the AI + human double-check angle. Wishing you a great launch, Piyushh!
