Alsomitra is named after Alsomitra macrocarpa, a real vine whose seeds glide for hundreds of metres on paper-thin wings. I wanted to make a game that feels the way that looks.
The whole game is one touch: hold to dive, let go to rise. The skill is reading the wind. Settle into the dip of a current and it launches you forward. Chain clean catches and you build Tailwind. Drop under a current and rise through its Bloom line and you burst up to higher routes.
What's free:
• The Long Glide: an endless score chase through a sky that changes as you fly
• Daily Current: the same route for everyone each day, with its own leaderboard
• Flight School, Mitra's Garden, the Flight Log and Game Center achievements
Full Bloom is a one-time unlock. It adds Open Sky (a calm, endless glide with no enemies), Tailwind Smash (a 75-second swarm chase), 13 more skies and 5 more trails.
There are no ads, no subscriptions and no coins to buy. I'd love to hear how far your best glide gets, and what you think of the feel of the controls. That's the part I've spent the most time tuning.
