The engineers that used to write the code knew the company, product, and policies. Now, the agents writing the code don’t. AGENTS.md can provide this context within a code repository, but these files are static and they don’t cross repo, user, and web agent boundaries cleanly. Alignbase unifies shared context under a single remote repository alongside fine-grained context permissions, reviews, audits, and agent authentication.
Hi PH! 👋
As an engineer all-in on agentic coding, I realized 6 months ago that the highest leverage thing that I could do was refine my AGENTS.md / CLAUDE.md files.
Whenever my agents and I were aligned on the high-level context in my head, I found that they required far fewer QA iterations. That helped me ship higher quality features faster, while saving tokens that were previously wasted on unnecessary iterations.
Keeping my personal and repo AGENTS.md files was no problem at all, but the ease of use started to break down when working with a team. Fundamentally, there's no place to put cross-repo context that's automatically injected into agents every session. Skills, knowledge bases, and company brains all have their place, but they're each missing a key piece of that equation.
I built Alignbase to address the limitations of shared context so that teams can keep their agents aligned while shipping faster, better, and cheaper.
We have 10+ repos with 15 engineers and I spend an inordinate amount of my time correcting breaches from our company protocols, brand guidelines, and legal. This is exactly the type of compounding engineering we need for consistency across them. I can't wait to dive in and give this a whirl!
I've hit this issue with my team, shared context for agents is critical but hard to define well. Excited to try this and start to properly capture this information!

Who hunted Alignbase?
Alignbase was hunted by Abe Wheeler. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it.
