I built AirProof AI after realizing how difficult it is to determine the best location for an air purifier.
Most people rely on manufacturer recommendations or trial and error, but the same purifier can perform very differently depending on where it is placed within a room.
AirProof AI allows users to place a purifier anywhere in realistic room layouts, instantly visualize indoor airflow, and evaluate performance using metrics such as airflow efficiency, coverage quality, recirculation risk, and overall effectiveness.
One feature I'm particularly excited about is Optimize Placement. With a single click, AirProof AI analyzes airflow behavior and room conditions to automatically identify a purifier position that delivers better performance.
My goal was to make airflow visualization and placement optimization accessible to everyone without requiring CFD software, engineering knowledge, or complex simulations.

honestly kind of surprised how realistic the airflow looks, i moved my purifier around and the coverage difference was way more obvious than i expected.
I don't even use an air purifier, but I love the fact that you've found an actually useful way to leverage AI against a real problem. It will be cool to see you evolve this. With advancements in 3D scene reconstruction models like GenRecon (https://kasothaphie.github.io/GenRecon/, https://arxiv.org/abs/2605.23888), I could imagine a future iteration that lets your users quickly generate models of their actual rooms using their non-LiDAR-equipped phones.
