Hi Product Hunt! 👋
A few weeks ago I asked ChatGPT to recommend my own business. It said it
wasn't familiar with us — even though we rank fine on Google.
That's when it hit me: ranking on Google and being recommended by AI are
two completely different things now. More people are skipping search
results entirely and just asking ChatGPT, Perplexity, or Gemini directly
for a recommendation. If you're not in that answer, you don't just lose a
ranking spot — you lose the whole conversation.
So I built the AI Visibility Checker to answer one simple question: does
AI actually know your business exists? No signup tricks, no fake positive
results — just a real, honest check across the platforms people actually
use.
The hardest part while building this was resisting the urge to make the
results feel more impressive than they are. Most businesses that test this
find out they're invisible to AI right now, same as we were. It's not fun
to hear, but it's the honest starting point — and it's the same starting
point we published for our own business (we didn't pass either).
