I built AI Golf School so golfers could completely understand what's going on with their swing instead of guessing.
I was inspired because my own swing was completely broken and I did what everyone does. YouTube, Instagram, and even sent some videos off to a pro at great cost. I still couldn't grasp what was actually going on.
When I tried uploading straight into a chatbot, I got wildly inconsistent responses that often contradicted each other and sent me down the wrong path, doing more harm than good. But it made me think that if you refined the prompt and contained the hallucination, you could get a consistent output that would actually help golfers get better.
Not unlike all projects in this age, it started as a video comparison tool, but 9 months later, thousands of labeled frames and over a thousand swings used to train the models, I feel I have something great!
So that's what AI Golf School does. Upload one swing video from your phone. Down-the-line or face-on, either one works, you don't need both. It runs computer vision across the swing, breaks it into the P-system positions coaches actually use (address, takeaway, top, transition, delivery, impact, finish), and returns 2 to 4 faults with severity scores.
To keep things simple and work on the core of what's going on, one of those faults gets marked as the primary cause, not the downstream symptoms it creates. Golf is a kinetic chain, so if you fix the primary issue the rest tend to go with it. From there I've curated some of the best drills from a library of 140 videos and text instructions, matched to your specific fault.
