AI Data Center Alert tracks operating, under-construction, and proposed data centers - and gives communities independent climate impact data to push back. Know your air, water, and heat risk before the permits are filed. Your community deserves facts, not surprises.
Hey Product Hunt 👋
I'm the founder of AI Data Center Alert - and I built it because communities had no way to fight back with facts.
When a data center is proposed near your town, the developer already has the data. Air quality baselines. Water consumption projections. Heat island risk. The company knows what their facility could do to your community's climate. Most communities don't find out until the permits are already filed - and by then, the window to push back has nearly closed.
AI Data Center Alert changes that. It tracks data centers in three stages - already operating, currently under construction, and proposed - and gives communities the independent climate impact data they need to say: "Our climate conditions are already unfavorable. This data center could make it worse." That's a defensible position. That's how you show up to a planning board meeting and actually be heard.
What it does:
🏭 Track operating data centers and their current climate footprint in your area
🏗️ Monitor data centers under construction before they go live
📋 Get independent climate impact assessment for proposed facilities near you
🌡️ Surface heat stress, water consumption, and air quality risk in plain language
🛡️ Generate a defensible community impact brief - actual data, not talking points
Who it's for:
Community advocates, local elected officials, environmental groups, and residents who live near existing or planned data center development and need independent, factual grounding to engage the process — not after the fact, but while there's still time to matter.
My story:
I spent 20+ years building AI-powered predictive location models across real estate and infrastructure sectors. When the data center land rush accelerated, I kept seeing the same pattern play out: massive facilities proposed in communities that had no idea what was coming, and no independent tools to assess what it would mean for them. The developers had the data. The communities didn't. I built AI Data Center Alert to close that gap - not as opposition research, but as a neutral source of climate truth that communities can actually use.
Pricing:
Free community alerts for proposed data centers in your area.
What I'd love from you:
Tell me whether the community framing lands. Is it clear enough who this is for and what they can actually do with it? I'm specifically looking for feedback from anyone who's been involved in local planning, zoning, or environmental advocacy - does this feel like something you'd share with your community board?
Not asking for upvotes. Asking for honest reactions.
Thank you for taking a look. 🙏
