I build Apify actors on the side and kept hitting the same frustration: every SEO tool I use tracks Google rankings. None of them tell me whether AI recommends my clients when their customers ask "what's the best [product category]?"
So I built this.
What it does:
Run real buyer-intent queries ("best project management software for startups", "alternatives to Jira") across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and Claude. For each query × engine combination it returns:
- mention_rate — was your brand mentioned at all?
- position_score (1–10) — 10 means you were named first, 0 means you weren't mentioned
- share_of_voice — your mentions ÷ all brand mentions in the response
- competitor_mentions — who's beating you, and by how much
- cited_domains — which URLs the AI actually linked as sources
Run it weekly and it auto-compares to the previous run, so you get a clear delta: up 0.17 in mention rate, up 1.5 in position score.
Why traditional SEO doesn't help here:
Title tags and domain authority are Google signals. AI recommendations are driven by being discussed across Reddit threads, G2 reviews, GitHub repos, and comparison articles. This tool shows you where you stand so you know what content to create.
