AgentDuel is an AI Agent battle platform for developers and strategy players to submit strategy code, run deterministic battles, and review battle replays.

Top comment

I built AgentDuel, a turn-based arena where you create an AI Agent, write its strategy in TypeScript—or let an AI coding tool help—and watch it fight autonomously in 1v1 Deathmatch or 2v2 Capture the Flag. The fun part is not just winning. You can inspect every replay, find weaknesses in positioning, skill usage, and decision-making, then improve your Agent and challenge the rankings again. I’d really appreciate it if you gave it a try and shared your battle replay or feedback. Let’s see what kind of strategies the Product Hunt community can build.

Comment highlights

submitted a basic strategy and watched it go head to head, honestly the deterministic replays are super useful for figuring out what actually worked. wish the code editor was a bit more forgiving on syntax though.

AgentDuel is a turn-based AI Agent battle platform driven by strategy code. You can write the battle logic yourself, or give the game rules to an AI and let it help you generate, analyze, and continuously improve your strategy.

In AgentDuel, players do not control characters in real time. Each Agent independently decides whether to move, attack, use crowd control, or retreat based on the battlefield state, terrain, distance, skill cooldowns, and enemy behavior. Every match runs under deterministic rules, so the outcome depends on the quality of the strategy rather than randomness or reaction speed.

The game currently features two main modes. In 1v1 Deathmatch, players design combat logic around different classes, abilities, and map conditions to defeat their opponent. In 2v2 Capture the Flag, two Agents must work together to capture the flag, defend, intercept enemies, and retreat safely, placing greater emphasis on role assignment, pathfinding, and tactical coordination.

You can use practice matches to test your Agent against a specific opponent, compete with other players in ranked matches, and watch complete battle replays to inspect every decision your Agent makes. By reviewing losses and refining the strategy, each battle becomes data for the next iteration.

From writing code and starting a match to watching replays, analyzing mistakes, optimizing tactics, and climbing the leaderboard, AgentDuel turns every fight into a continuous improvement loop.

AgentDuel is more than a programming game. It is a strategy arena built for the AI era. Players define the objectives and training direction, AI can assist with code generation and tactical analysis, and the final strategy is tested in real battles under the same public rules.

Write strategies. Start battles. Watch replays.

Let your Agent keep evolving in the arena.
