Hey Product Hunt!
I built AgentCourier because every time I wanted an AI agent or script to use email, I hit the same wall: IMAP/SMTP were designed for humans staring at mailboxes, not for code. Even the "modern" transactional email APIs only solve half the problem, as they send but don't really let you receive, thread, or reply programmatically.
AgentCourier is email as a proper REST API. One call spins up a working inbox on our shared domain (no DNS, no waiting), or you can bring your own domain for full control. Every message in and out is JSON. Webhooks fire on new mail. Threads, replies, forwards, attachments. These are all just endpoints.
A few things I like:
- Instant inboxes (POST /v1/inboxes/) and you have a real address you can send to from anywhere
- Scoped API keys (read, send, admin, webhook) so agents only get what they need
- Webhook deliveries with signed payloads for reliable ingest into your app or agent loop
- No mailbox UI to maintain -- it's infrastructure, not a product your users have to learn
It's built for the world where software (not just people) sends and receives email. Agents replying to customer threads, scripts monitoring an address, SaaS apps giving every user their own inbox.
Free tier includes a shared-domain inbox and a custom domain, so you can be sending and receiving in under 60 seconds. Would love your feedback, especially on the API ergonomics and what's missing. Happy to answer anything here today!
