Hunted byVictor PolisettyVictor Polisetty

Today, PR review means juggling tabs, hunting for context, and rubber-stamping because you're already three PRs behind. AgentBase fixes that — one calm workspace, author intent pinned to every diff, and a little green sapling named Sprig who actually read your PR. Reviewing stops feeling like a chore.

Top comment

Hey 👋

I'm Victor, one of the folks building AgentBase.

Quick backstory: the three of us were at Coinbase, Microsoft, and Bloomberg — different companies, identical complaint: PRs sitting unreviewed for days while everyone pretended not to notice. The reviewer gets a GitHub notification. They open it, see 900 changed lines, and close the tab. We got tired of waiting for a fix and built one.

The problem 👀

AI writes code way faster than humans can review it. So:

- PR queues jumped from ~3/week to 7–10/week per engineer
- 1 in 5 reviewers admit they just rubber-stamp now
- The GitHub diff UI is from 2008. Truly.
- Bot comments pile up. Backlogs grow. Nobody's having fun.
- Writing isn't the bottleneck anymore. Reviewing is.

What AgentBase does ⚡

It's the review layer for the post-agent codebase. Not another bot — a single surface that makes your existing AI tools play nice.

🌱 Author intent pinned to the diff — what they tried, chose, ruled out. No more "why didn't you just…" three days in.

🌿 Noise auto-hidden — lockfiles, generated types, formatter churn. We routinely fold 12 of 17 files. You see the 5 that matter.

🪴 Sprig — an AI that actually read your PR. Cited answers, every claim links to file:line.

✂️ Plain-English filters — "only the auth files" and the diff narrows.

📬 One inbox for all your bots — Greptile, CodeRabbit, Copilot all route through Sprig, which drafts the reply. One click to post.

Why we built it 🌟

We didn't want to replace your review stack — just give it a brain. Reviewing should feel like something again, not like clearing a junk inbox.

Also: yes, there's a small green sapling named Sprig. Tools you use 20× a day should be a little fun.

Who hunted AgentBase?

AgentBase was hunted by Victor Polisetty. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
