Agent Inbox gives every AI agent its own email address, Slack handle and Telegram handle, all behind one API. Message your agent from wherever you already work, and it replies in the same thread. It works with Claude, Grok, OpenAI, Hermes and any other agent framework. No more glue code for each channel: your agent gets one inbox, and you get one place to reach it.
Hey Product Hunt! 👋 I'm Dima, co-founder and CTO of Novu.
After years of building notification infrastructure, I kept hitting the same wall with AI agents. They're great at doing work, but awkward to actually talk to. Every agent ended up with its own glue: a Slack bot here, a Telegram webhook there, a shared Gmail account nobody trusts.
So we built Agent Inbox. Every agent gets its own email address, Slack handle and Telegram handle, all behind one API. You message it from wherever you already are, and it replies in the same thread. It works with Claude, Grok, OpenAI, Hermes, or whatever you're building on.
A few things you can do on day one: - Forward an email to your agent and have it handle the reply - Approve or reject an agent's action straight from Slack - Get a Telegram ping when a long-running job finishes
- Allow other people send you agent messages
It takes less then 2 minutes to setup with your agents.
Agent Inbox is open-source, and I'd love your feedback, especially on which channel we should add next. WhatsApp? Discord? SMS?
This one is great, I have to say I started using Agent Inbox a week ago as part of testing, and today I use it for multiple use cases with Grok Bot, in most of them, the main think is connecting the agent to multiple people other than me. For example house hold lunch reservation :)
One of our agents once sent an empty email reply because a click landed on Send. Since then everything outgoing is a draft and I hit send myself. Can a channel be set so the agent only drafts and someone approves before it goes out?
The approval record needs to bind the human’s reply to the exact proposed action. I’d include an action hash, target, expiry, and one-time nonce so a delayed “yes” cannot approve a changed command or be replayed after the agent retries. Identity and timestamp alone do not close that gap.
Hi, Paweł here, one of the makers 👋
Agents have been trying to reach us for a while now.
First they sat in a terminal and waited for our decision, wasting hours.
Then they sent alerts you could read but only when you are at the computer.
Now they get an inbox on Telegram, Slack, Email.
They ask, you reply, and they continue their work.
It also goes both ways. You can message your agent first, and it can listen for messages and start the work when one arrives (currently in Claude Code).
It isn’t only about you either. Invite a teammate with a link, they pick the communication channel, and your agent can reach them too and they can respond and talk to your agent.
Next, I assume, is a phone call at 2am. “Hi, it’s your agent. I’d like to delete the prod database. Press 1 to allow.”
We’re not building that 😅
That is the Agent Inbox.
I’m curious to hear what your agent should be asking you.
WhatsApp would get my vote. I moved my agent to Slack so I could reach it from my phone, but WhatsApp is the app I actually look at when a notification comes through..
congrats on the launch dima. approvals from slack is the part i would use first, approvals by email i just miss. for next channel i vote whatsapp, most founders i work with here live there more than in slack. what happens when nobody answers an approval, the agent waits or it times out?
Keeping the reply in the original thread makes sense. The person asking for an update can follow the task in the same place they started it.
I've been working on the launch content for Agent Inbox, so I got to spend a lot of time with it before today 👋
What clicked for me: most agents can reach every API, but not the person they work for. If your agent hits a decision wall while nobody's watching, it either guesses or sits there waiting (It happens to me always with Claude and Codex).
With Agent Inbox, the agent asks on Telegram, Slack or email, waits for your answer, and carries on. It works the other way too: people and services can message the agent directly, so verification codes and replies stop landing in your inbox.
My favourite detail is that every approval comes back with who answered and when, so a "yes" is an actual record, not a guess.
Curious to see what everyone here would use it for first.

Agent Inbox was hunted by Dima Grossman. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
