Advocad is the system of record for developer advocates and content creators. Paste a link to any talk, video, post or podcast — it crawls the real platform metrics (views, likes, comments, plays) and rolls everything into one reach dashboard you can actually show your boss. Dated snapshots build a growth curve per activity, offline talks can be logged by hand, and AI suggests tags to keep your library organised. Stop guessing your impact — prove it with real numbers.
Hey Product Hunt! 👋
I'm Sani, an independent developer advocate. Nobody hands independents a dashboard — my "system" for tracking years of work was a patchwork: NomadList for my travel, a list of saved YouTube links for my videos, and slides.com view counts as a rough proxy for how my recorded talks were doing. Three tools, none of them built for the job, and still no single number I could point to when someone asked about my reach.
So I built Advocad — the tool I always wanted. Paste a link, get your real numbers.
What it does today:
🔗 One field takes everything — conference talks, YouTube videos, TikToks, X posts, dev.to articles, podcast episodes. Advocad figures out what it is and fetches the title, thumbnail and type automatically.
⚡ Auto-crawled metrics — views, likes, comments, plays, pulled straight from each platform. No screenshots, no spreadsheets, no "roughly".
📈 Growth curves, not snapshots — every refresh adds a dated data point instead of overwriting the old one, so you see the trajectory of each piece: which content compounds, which fades.
✍️ Offline counts too — meetups and workshops don't report analytics, so log attendees and registrations by hand, right next to the crawled numbers.
🏷️ AI-suggested tags — Advocad reads your content and suggests topics automatically, so your library stays organised without the housekeeping.
Where it's going:
🤖 AI content analysis — beyond counting likes and comments, the AI will read them to understand how your content actually landed with your audience.
🎯 Competitive insight — see where you're weak compared to others in your space, and which topics you're leaving on the table.
✨ Content suggestions — auto-generated post drafts and ideas, based on what your own data says works — not generic advice.
🔌 Connect your socials — link your YouTube, X, TikTok and more, and your entire back catalogue gets imported automagically. No pasting required.
🧩 Chrome extension — add anything to Advocad right from the page you're looking at.
👥 Teams — one dashboard for a whole DevRel team: combined reach, individual contributions, and the impact report leadership keeps asking for.
🏢 Enterprise — further out, for orgs that need all of this at scale.
There's a live demo on the landing page — paste any link, no account needed, and watch it get measured in seconds.
I'd love feedback from fellow DevRel folks and independent creators: what would make this your system of record? 🙏
