Adventure Book
The family someday list that knows when you're free
We kept driving past places we wanted to try with the kids. By Saturday, we'd forgotten them all. So I built Adventure Book. Save an idea the moment you see it: a sign, a river walk, ice cream in the next town. Every Friday it asks: free this weekend? Then it brings back your top 3 that fit the time and energy you have. Share the list with your partner, or find a day that works for another family too. No feed, no ads. Free to start on iPhone and Android.
Hi all! I'm Mitja, dad of two boys, and I built Adventure Book for my own family.
What inspired it: we kept driving past places we wanted to try with the kids. A sign for a swamp walk, a river someone mentioned, ice cream in the next town. We'd say "we should go there sometime", and by Saturday it was all gone. So the free day came, nobody had an idea, and we ended up in the garden again.
The problem I wanted to solve: the ideas weren't missing, they were lost. In a photo, an open browser tab, a note my wife couldn't see. And when we were finally free, nobody had the energy to go looking for them.
How it evolved: it started as a planner and a journal for trips. Using it ourselves, I realised planning was the part nobody wanted to do. So I cut it back to two things:
1. Save an idea in seconds, the moment you see it.
2. Every Friday it asks "Free this weekend?" and brings back your top 3 that fit the time and energy you actually have.
Along the way I added what we kept needing: one list my wife and I both add to, and a way to find a day that works for another family too, because "let's do something next week" almost never happens.
What I left out on purpose: no feed, no ads, no streaks, no guilt. It's not here to tell you how to spend your weekend. It just remembers what you wanted to do.
Last week it actually worked for us: a swamp walk we'd saved weeks ago, done with friends, and an autumn leaves walk the boys still talk about.
I'd love your honest feedback, and I'm curious: what's the one place you keep meaning to go?

Who hunted Adventure Book?
Adventure Book was hunted by Mitja Ahlin. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it.
