For about 10 years I kept notes about things I wanted to do or already did. This winter I finally turned them into an app.
Achiever is an achievement tracker for real life: 700+ one-time milestones in 14 categories (fitness, career, travel, finances, mental health and more), each worth 5-100 points by difficulty. It's deliberately not a habit tracker: no streaks, no daily check-ins. You did it once, it counts forever. Fun fact: I built streaks early on, then removed them - they push repetition, and this app is about finish lines.
A few things I care about:
- The catalog is hand-curated: every achievement must be checkable ("ran 5 km under 30 minutes", not "got fitter") and finishable
- Achievements about addiction, therapy and mental health never show on public profiles unless you opt in
- Free for your first 100 completions. Pro is $15 lifetime for the first 100 buyers, then $29. No subscription.
